Nestled in the rolling hills of the Pocono Mountains, Windridge Vineyard combines the charm of a rustic barn with the versatility of a multi-purpose venue. Set on a sprawling farm with expansive vineyard views, the venue captures the essence of country elegance, making it the perfect spot for wine lovers and event-goers alike. The barn-inspired building, painted a rich, inviting red and topped with durable metal roofing, is designed to echo classic farm architecture, giving it an instantly welcoming feel while paying homage to the area’s rural roots.

Inside, Windridge Vineyard offers a dual experience as both a working winery and a vibrant event space. With a warm, open layout and plenty of rustic character, the space can easily transition from an intimate tasting room to a lively event venue for weddings, private parties, and gatherings. Adjacent to the main structure is a quaint administration building with a charming gift shop, stocked with unique wine-related gifts, local crafts, and, of course, bottles of Windridge’s finest wines.

The vineyard’s courtyard is a lush oasis of greenery, with well-manicured lawns, botanical gardens, and grapevine-covered arbors creating a serene outdoor retreat. Bluestone walkways wind through the courtyard, connecting various seating areas and viewpoints, encouraging guests to relax and take in the natural beauty surrounding them. Whether exploring the vineyard, sampling wines in the tasting room, or celebrating in the event space, visitors at Windridge Vineyard enjoy an authentic Pocono countryside experience. The blend of rustic architecture, thoughtful landscaping, and sweeping country views makes Windridge Vineyard a destination for unforgettable memories, where the timeless beauty of the outdoors meets the craft of winemaking and hospitality.

The post Windridge Vineyard & Cidery first appeared on Studio KLP Architects.

The project was conceived by the owner as an opportunity to have interactions with employees, clients, and the local community in a safer, mask-free environment during the difficult days of the COVID pandemic. These times required a more creative approach to the typical congregating for meetings and other employee and community gatherings. For them, this modest-sized flexible building could become a respite to enjoy a well-deserved healthy lifestyle and to continue the community outreach that they are known for.

Although the project has not been constructed yet, the intensions are still the same; to make the campus and this building a place to grow together as a community. The yearly community picnics and activities will continue, but in a new and vibrant indoor/outdoor space. The building represents a small “outreaching” gesture towards the neighboring community, as well as a place of business to bring together ideas and growth for the future of the forward-thinking and growing company.

The location of the pavilion was thoroughly considered by the owner. Its final location was bordering the edge of marshy area with natural bermed edges that allowed the building to be nestled in a cozy natural pocket, far enough from the main campus building, yet close enough to the neighboring community. The employees, clients, and community eagerly await the project construction.

The post Pride Mobility Pavilion first appeared on Studio KLP Architects.
